Alpine animals

The Engadin, the most beautiful alpine valley in Switzerland, boasts an impressively diverse fauna. The region is home to many animals that live in the mountains and forests. Among the most famous are the majestic ibex, in their rocky habitat, and marmots, which spend the short mountain summers on the barren mountain meadows. Red deer, roe deer, and chamois can also be found in the forests and alps of the Engadin. Especially at higher altitudes, visitors may also, with a little luck, observe bearded vultures and golden eagles circling in the skies. All of these impressive animals can be found on numerous decorations that we offer in our shop in Samedan.
