Chalandamarz – the Engadin spring custom

March is Chalandamarz time in Engadin, a festival especially eagerly awaited by our children. It may require some preparation, but the celebration will be all the more beautiful.

Here's how to get started

• Head to the nearest farm to ask for a real cowbell!
• Shirts and hats are also available from us at Butia Tradiziun or at school.
• Don't forget to prepare the roses – you can get tissue paper and wire from us.
• Ask for a Marusa and prepare the songs.

These preparations definitely promote the children's responsibility and organization!
