About Us

Silvia Zisler in her Butia Tradiziun Our Butia Tradiziun is a shop in the heart of Samedan that has stood for tradition and quality since 1997. What was formerly Butia Florin has been run by Silvia Zisler as Butia Tradiziun since 2024. The core concept has been retained, but the shop and its product range have undergone a facelift.

We have made it our mission to uphold and preserve the traditional character of the Engadin, while also keeping an eye on traditional crafts from other parts of the world.

Our name, Tradiziun, is our mission statement. We want to actively contribute to the preservation of regional, national, and global traditions.

A carefully curated selection of products awaits you in our Butia Tradiziun . We strive to ensure that the items in our range are of high cultural, sentimental, and qualitative value. Each item has its own story as to why it found its way into our selection. The majority of our products are made from natural materials.

My name is Silvia Zisler. I was born in Ecuador. I hold a postgraduate diploma in logistics management and a bachelor's degree in business administration. Afterward, I moved to Switzerland, where I completed a Master of Science in International Business Development (MscIBD) at the University of Neuchâtel.
During my studies, I met my future husband, Duri, who introduced me to the Engadin, which I grew to know and love. I've lived here for over 10 years and, together with my husband, have two school-age children.
When I started helping Esther, the opportunity arose to take over this shop and fulfill another of my dreams.

Welcome to ButiaTradiziun – where tradition meets innovation.
