Making Rösas for the Chalandamarz - a construction guide

The Chalandamarz is made colorful and cheerful by the many colorful tissue paper flowers – the rösas . These delicate handcrafted items are available for purchase in limited quantities. The approximately 120 pieces we offer at any given time are enough for only about 10 Chalandamarz children. The good news is that they are easy to make yourself with little effort and a little time. We are happy to provide you with step-by-step instructions for making the paper roses, which are made for the Chalandamarz in most villages in the Upper Engadine.
