Swiss pine

Swiss stone pine wood is highly prized for its essential oils, as well as its beautiful pattern and color. These robust conifers can live for several hundred years and are particularly well adapted to the harsh conditions of the high Alps, such as the Engadin. Their dense, resin-rich wood fibers not only make the Swiss stone pine resilient, but also give it a distinctive scent that is perceived as calming and soothing.
